Many of you will be aware of the government advice to avoid restaurants, pubs, bars, clubs, cinemas and gyms with immediate effect.
The wellbeing of our members, their families, and our staff and volunteers is of the utmost importance to us. With this in mind – and with heavy hearts – we are writing to inform you that our facilities (main gymnasium, fitness suite and studio) will close until further notice.
As is the case for all organisations in the creative, hospitality and leisure sectors, it is unlikely that our insurance will cover us for the closure, as the government’s instructions are advisory, rather than an outright ban. For small businesses, such as our own, this situation is devastating.
And so, a plea: It would be greatly appreciated if you could bear with us for the remainder of this month. We are currently in uncharted territory but we are looking at various measures that will allow us to provide options for our members to remain fit and active during this period. At this time – more than ever – we remain committed to the importance of healthy lifestyles.
